In the event of not finding a god, create a divine entity that will keep the faiths of people alive so that they can be herded with a cult of personality Shepherd. Add a bit of nationalism to this mix and we attain what Hegel said as “State is the March of God on earth”. This could be a complete misinterpretation of what Hegel originally intended, but his phrase March of God on earth is becoming an accurate description of what is happening around us.
When two lions named Sita and Akbar are housed together in a Zoo, an ultranational extremist outfit moves to the court that it will hurt religious sentiments of certain faith. Lion eating meat should also hurt religious sentiments and can you feed grass to these carnivores?
Another bunch of people claim St.Valentine’s day degrades the culture of the country and couples holding hands on those days should either be attacked or forced to get married.
These extremist Gods are what the State of India is helping to create and express their hatred without restraint.
Hegel’s State
According to Hegel, in a civil society, individuals act in their self-interests and participate in economic activities. They have individual rights to pursue what they deem to fit their purpose of existence. And then a state is a collection of such individuals, and it transcends civil society as the manifestation of divinity on earth.
A Statehood is thus a divine manifestation in which humans become God and march on earth. The state, for Hegel, is the earthly institution where the ethical spirit of a community is actualized, and it plays a crucial role in the development of human freedom and moral life.
Who are you to enforce morality?
Then the question raises “Are nationalists or authoritarian governments like in India dictating moral uprightness for its citizens so that the State becomes the March of God on earth? Who are human leaders to dictate what is morally right by killing individual rights, and freedom to express, eat, wear, and behave how they feel like. Everyone has their right to free will and should have the choice to choose and live the life they want to.
Free will is the gift of god and you call it a “bitch”, playing devil’s advocate? And in turn you want to make this place godly?
The self proclaimed authority
The self proclaimed authority to teach people morality comes from a deep seated belief that one kind of people are higher in the pyramid over the others and they have been commanded by the divine Supreme to teach the lower ranks about morality and life.
Such is the state of State where Gods March, each one self proclaiming to be God. They have the right to destroy temples, limit freedom for minorities, enforce orders to make everyone live the way the authoritarians think is right.
And people in the sorry state of affairs do not have the faculty to fight for individual rights as their lives have been decimated by poverty and raising prices for food and other essential commodities.
Embracing the essence of divinity involves acknowledging and celebrating the vast diversity present in the universe, which is perceived as the creation of a higher power or God. This celebration extends beyond mere appreciation; it requires a genuine tolerance for beliefs and viewpoints that differ or even contradict our own.
Such an approach emphasizes the importance of coexistence and understanding in a pluralistic world. Moreover, embodying a god-like perspective necessitates the use of reason as a fundamental tool for addressing and solving problems. This rational approach is grounded in an objective analysis of facts, ensuring that decisions and solutions are not swayed by prejudice or unfounded beliefs but are instead informed by a clear understanding of reality.
By fostering tolerance, embracing diversity, and employing reasoned judgment based on factual evidence, one aligns closer with the ideals of wisdom and compassion that many associate with a divine existence.
That’s when you proudly walk the earth as Gods.
