Maybe the definition of Fascism is vague across national boundaries. But what they want is one thing, one shared goal, which is the creation of a new culture, a new utopian society with new ideal men. Men who are corrupt with liberal ideas such as capitalism, secularism, feminism, are a deviation from the desired characteristics of the ideal new man. 

The new desired characteristics are courage, daring, superiority, pride, vitality, life energy,  and an uncontrollable emotion to police the corrupt liberal men. This requires a mass murder of the current popular ideology of liberalism. 

Thoughts, Beliefs Vs Facts

The new Fascist movement, like its older versions, lay a strong emphasis on thoughts and beliefs, which could bring a real change that will help them create a new utopian society. Unemployment, poverty, and illiteracy are materialistic views to them. 

They are mundane stuff and are not in any way connected to metaphysical idealism as thoughts, beliefs and resultant actions do. Fascists also believe in the vital life force or energy, which is in complete contrast with the liberal world view of facts and data, which often questions the existence of a superior power – the basis of life energy exalted by Fascists. 

In German Nazism, Hitler and his followers believed in the life force or energy of the Aryan race as pure and Jews as an aberration. Even though, in its wake Fascism adopted secularism as one of its principles, eventually its principles were left out in its pursuit, creating an ideal man and an ideal world. During its journey around the world, Fascism suited itself by adding or removing elementary principles to their agenda for convenience. As a result, secularism became a bane in the Fascist ecosystem. Due to this act of adding or removing principles for convenience, there is no homogeneity in the idea of Fascism, which makes its definition inconsistent and its usage sporadic. 

Is Fascism Secular?

Today’s version of Fascism hinges on the idea of anti-secularism. It assumes, people belonging to certain communities do not have the life energy or vitality in them to become ideal. It often dehumanizes them as vermin, aliens and infiltrators.

Donald Trump, in one of his rallies called political opponents, majorly liberals, as vermin and immigrants are poisoning the blood. He also wanted to bring back Muslim Travel Ban to the United States, if he becomes the President again. Indian Prime Minister Modi called its muslim minorities as infiltrators who will receive a larger share of wealth if the opposition comes to power in one of his election rallies. 

They are both dehumanizing a section of society. Or in other words they want these communities to be left out in the process of creating ideal men and an utopian society. According to their beliefs and values, these community members lack the vitality or life energy to become ideal men.    

So, how to  create this new ideal man? That’s the modern day Fascist’s playbook which has the following chapters. 

Propaganda and Ideology: Governments and political movements often use propaganda to shape people’s beliefs and values, hoping to gain support or maintain power. This aligns with the idea that controlling the narrative (the ideas) is key to controlling the political landscape.

Utopian Movements: Many revolutions and social movements are driven by utopian ideals – visions of a perfect society based on certain values. These ideals can inspire people to take risks and make sacrifices, even when the material conditions seem stacked against them.

The Role of Leaders: Idealists often place great emphasis on the power of leaders to inspire and guide through their words and ideas. Charismatic leaders can sway public opinion and even change the course of history, even if they don’t control vast material resources.

The key takeaway for liberals is not to shy away from calling a fascist, a fascist. This is not the place for political correctness, especially when some of the ultranationalist movements do not want their association to neo-Nazism renounced. 

For the Fascists, what you are doing is not protecting life energy or its vitality. Just the opposite of what a dark energy would do. Sounds like it doesn’t mean anything? That’s exactly what you believe in.
